My experience with the English language began almost 15 or 16 years ago when I was in preschool where I learnt how to say "octopus", what I mean is that I didn't learn anything, where I actually learnt useful things was in video games and in TV watching the WWE (WWF back in that day).

My first challenge with English was the words like "do", "are" and "is" in the question form. After that I have had some trouble with the "mind translation", in other words: thinking something in Spanish and translate it to English, because there were many words I didn't (and still don't) know.

Recently I have been thinking in English when I have to make something in English, so that "mind translation" problem is no longer a problem for me, but a new challenge rose: "spelling problems", because as now I am thinking in English, I am also writing "the way it sounded in my head", in other words I am writing like an American, and they write like shit, that's why they tend to do many "spelling bee" contests.

The blogs in the university I have found them very amusing because we write about the things we like and that is a rather easy task (at least for me) and also help us to know more about each other.
I don't think it is a good activity because is very basic, but it is good for us because we're not studying English.

I would like to improve my accent because as my dream is to get to California, I would not like to get there speaking like Lucho Jara.

This year (because I didn't do it before) I am starting to speak in English in my mind when I am playing a video game or watching something in English, but I don't speak in English when is not necessary because we live in a Spanish speaking country, and speaking in English in Chile for no reason is stupid, the same way I think is disrespectful to speak other language than the native language of the country you are in public, like Chinese people do when you enter in their stores.

Changes to the program

Hi guys and girls, in this blog I'm going to talk about what changes I would like to do in the program.

I guess a lot of you are going to talk about "BAyB" (anatomical and biological basis of face and neck) but I am going to go further.

First of all in the first year there are 3 "biological" subjects: biological basis, anatomical basis and "BAyB" in which the subjects of basic cell biology, general histology and system histology are included in "biological basis" (1st semester), a summary of the whole body anatomy condensed in "anatomical basis" (1st year) and in "BAyB" are included genetics, face and neck anatomy and teeth and oral cavity histology.
Cell biology

Four types of tissue

Complete body muscular anatomy

This is to much for us and also is too condensed that we don't know anything after all.

I propose that in the first semester we have to have a subject called just "biology" that includes the basics of cell biology and genetics like the Bachillerato does, and other subject called anatomy I in which we have to study only the human anatomy of thorax, abdomen, pelvis and limbs so that we leave the whole head and neck (our so called specialty) for just one subject called anatomy II in the second semester.
Head and neck anatomy

Also even though I hate it, we cannot leave histology apart, and as we have a whole subject to fill, we can have a subject called Histology in which we have to see general histology, systems histology and oral cavity histology.
Parotid (salivary) gland histology

With that better order of the subjects I think we can form better professionals because it would be easier to study these subjects separately than all together.

Also I don't like the way how physics is lectured because we use mathematical functions like trigonometric functions (sine, cosine, tangent, etc) in order to solve physics problems, but not every student know them nor how they work.
Trigonometric Functions explained in the unit circle

And the last thing I am going to complain about is "Society and Culture" you all know what I'm talking about because it is extremely shitty and a complete waste of time, I think that it should be replaced with some sort of a "First Aid" subject because we have to know what to do in risk cases and not just take care about mouths.

Summer Holidays

I don't think in this summer break I will be traveling out of Santiago, because I have to work to have money for the instruments for the second year, so as I'm going to be working here in Santiago I have to have my vacations here.

So many foreigners come to Chile just to visit Santiago so it has to have some enchantment.

Obviously the beautiful parts of Santiago are the wealthy and also the historic parts of the city, that is to say the downtown (Santiago Centro) and the uptown or Sanhattan (Las Condes, Vitacura, Providencia).

Parque Bicentenario (Vitacura)

Barrio Lastarria (Santiago Centro)

Also as I'm going to work in the summer I also want to buy a Pug dog with the money I'm going to earn.

Lil puggy

When I quit working, because I don't want to work the whole summer, I will be visiting some of the cities that are close to Santiago, like Viña del Mar and Rancagua.

Viña del Mar (I guess because I have never seen that water so bright blue)

Rancagua

Why these cities, because Viña del Mar has beaches and a Casino (municipal Viña's Casino), it's like the chilean version of Las Vegas but in the coast.

Casino de Viña in Av. Perú (the street that always closes because of the swells)

And Rancagua because it also has a Casino (Monticello Casino) and it has the only race track with international standards, the Autódromo Internacional de Codegua, a race track located 18 km northeast from Rancagua and just 72 km from Santiago, not so far.

Casino Monticello (San Francisco de Mostazal)

Autódrimo Internacional de Codegua

Several Supercars often race there

There are some trackdays too, days that ordinary people like me pay to race in their cars. I don't have a race car but the Ford Focus is a very agile car that I would like to drive at 100 miles per hour (safely).

The most difficult part of it is going to get permission for racing my parents car.

Video Game Recommendation

Hi guys and girls, in this blog I'm going to talk about a video game that I have been playing and I would like to recommend it to you, I am talking about South Park The Fractured but Whole.

Actually I have finished the game already but I am playing it again because the dialogs vary depending if your character (the new kid) is either male, female, gender less, transgendered, cisgendered, black, white or other.

Cartman treats you badly if you're black

The game tells the story of the kids in the town pretending that they're superheroes.
The Coon (Eric Cartman) is the leader of a group of superheroes called Coon and Friends, he wants to make a series in Netflix because the superheroes series are very popular in Netflix, but for that he will need money.

The Franchise Plan

In order to get that money, The Coon decides to look for a missing cat for a $100 reward, a money that he thinks will help them get their series and movies.

$100 reward for findind Scrambles

While searching the cat Coon and Friends fight another group of superheroes called Freedom Pals, the new kid has to infiltrate in the other group to retrieve information about the missing cat, but what started as a simple kids game ended up being a real crime operation, some people were kidnaping cats around the town to make drugs that will turn the people of South Park in criminals.

Civil War

South Park The Fractured But Whole is a role-playing video game that gives you the opportunity to play as: The new kid (you), The Coon, Human Kite (Kyle Broflovski), SuperCraig (Craig Tucker), Mosquito (Clyde Donovan), Fastpass (Jimmy Valmer), Captain Diabetes (Scott Malkinson), Call Girl (Wendy Testaburger), Professor Chaos (Leoplold "Butters" Stotch), Mysterion (Kenny McCormick), Toolshed (Stan Marsh), Wonder Tweak (Tweak), Tupperware (Token Black).

From left to right: Fastpass, Wonder Tweak, Doctor Timothy (Timmy Burch (not playable)), SuperCraig, Human Kite (up), Toolshed, Mysterion, Coon, Mosquito (up), Professor Chaos, Call Girl, Tupperware, Captain Diabetes.

* Fun fact: Toolshed means Cobertizo para herramientas, but also means Douchbag.

You also have to choose between 10 superhero types: Brutalist, Blaster, Speedster, Elementalist, Gadgeteer, Plantmancer, Cyborg, Psychic, Assassin, and Martial Artist, each one with their special abilities and superpowers.

The game it self looks exactly like a South Park episode, it also has that South Park humor with excessive cursing, racial and sexual jokes, and some other very disgusting parts so if you are a moralist or politically correct and do not know the South Park humor I do not recommend you to play this game.

The game looks like the tv show even while in combat.

The most disgusting mini-game in history.
(Don't worry your character will fart in their face and kick their asses)

Kicking their asses.

Otherwise if you are used to the South Park tv show this is a game you have to play.
