My Best Holiday

In this blog I'm going to talk about my favorite vacation.

Well I have not had a big vacation abroad or even inside Chile, but my best vacation lasted just one day and it wasn't even in summer.

It was at my time as a bachellor in the Bachillerato of the University of Chile.

It was a day in which I had classes at 8:00am and another one at 6:00pm so I left the University and went to the Monticello Casino in Rancagua.

I was very nervous at first because it was my first time traveling alone outside Santiago and it was also the first time I went to a Casino.

When I entered at first I was a bit disappointed because I thought casinos were like the casinos from the movies, but this one wasn't as shiny or expensive as I thought.

First I played in the Roulette because the value of a chip was just 1000 pesos. I lost 3 times then I won 35.000 pesos betting to the number 21, my favorite number by the way.

Then I went to play at the BlackJack table, it was fun, and I played there for at least 1 hour I guess.

It was a very good experience for my first time at a casino because I won 50.000 in total and lots of fun.

My Favorite place in the world

My favorite place in the world to live in is the state of California in the United States, because it is not just the big cities like Los Angeles or San Francisco, it also has some very beautiful natural landscapes, like beaches and forests.

My personal favorite forest in the world is placed in the Golden State, I'm talking about the Giant Sequoia National Park, which is a forest full of Sequoia trees that you can drive through. It also has other natural beauties like Yosemite National Park or Venice Beach.

Personally I'm not a rural person, I couldn't live just a day without electricity, that's why I like California so much because it has cities and also natural landscapes so that I can get rural adventures without going deep into the rural world.

For me it is the best place to live because California has big cities, with natural beauty, the weather is perfect all the time, with temperatures between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius. Weed is legal in the state of California so it is also a good point, they even have weed shops in the cities of Los Angeles an many others.

It also has some various sports venues like the Staples Center which is used for Basketball, the Rose Bowl that it was used for the 1994 FIFA World Cup final between Italy and Brazil, and one of the most famous racetracks in the world the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, and being a car enthusiast myself this is a great place for me.

But as you know not everything in the life is a party, we have to study and work too, and California has some of the best Universities in the world, such as University of California Berkeley, University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) which are among the best in dentistry and the University of Chile has an exchange agreement with those universities.

That's why I love California.
